Anthony Edwards Discusses Team USA Experience with LeBron James and Kevin Durant

Just at 22, Edwards is already being considered as the next best thing for Team USA in the Paris Olympics set to be held in 2024. In an interview with Andscape , a former top draft pick, Edwards expressed his excitement about playing alongside Kevin Durant who happened to be his childhood hero and LeBron James, who is considered a giant in NBA.

“It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Hell yeah. He and ‘Bron are the best two team people. They always want to see the person next to them shine. I’m the same way. It’s perfect”. As Brazil becomes the next big test for team USA heading into an all-important quarter finals encounter, Edwards pointed out what this means for him personally.

“It’s the knockout rounds, all the teams that are really good teams. They got NBA players. They compete at a high level. They’re supposed to be hard. I feel like we are playing good. I got to clean up the sloppy turnovers.

My bad. Pass the ball a little more. Defend a little better but We’ll be alright”. Among these Olympics’ most important players was Edwards who averaged 16.7 points while shooting at an amazing rate of 63% from field goals and 54% from behind three-point range each per game besides stealing twice on average per match played.

Edwards Iconic Mentors

Durant has been credited again by Edwards as one of his biggest influences as he seems to become closer friends with Lebron who many have called the greatest player of their generation This could change Edward’s life based on lessons learnt from Durant, Lebron and Stephen Curry which might replicate how Lebron changed after Olympics 2008 where he played with Kobe Bryant.

Draymond Green formerly voted Defensive Player of The Year – noted from courtside that that trio had designs on handing over to Ant-Man.“He continues growing especially as Bron, Steph and KD take him under their wings as the next young guy up and basically give him the keys to the team.

Like there if you’re watching these games, he’s running the show whenever he’s on the floor”. In addition, Green said, “It’s his show. He was half joking when he said now they’re gonna have to learn how to fit around me.

But I said half joking, ’cause he was definitely serious and he meant it but as confident as hell and very close to cocky about it in a way that is so Ed. This past year has seen Edwards rise sharply while this summer’s experience could be what sets him on for an NBA takeover this coming season with guidance from those very legends who are his role models.
